DESCRIPTION: A 44ish mile trail ultra using both sides of the famous gorge in Letchworth State Park. With 90% of the course off roads\, you will traverse single track\, fields\, foot bridges and bridle paths. You will experience beautiful vistas\, quad busting climbs\, and most importantly a grass roots\, community friendly event. \nThe field is capped at 150 runners. Please keep this in mind. SUMMARY:40th Annual Commemoration of the Civilian Conservation Corps in Letchworth State Park
DESCRIPTION:“The Friends of Letchworth State Park have been working for over eight years to  restore\, preserve\, and increase interpretation of the lasting accomplishments of the  CCC that exist throughout the park\,” said Victoria Campbell\, a trustee with The Friends  of Letchworth State Park. “CCC Legacy Days and the CCC Legacy Pathway are our  opportunities to share with the public the opportunity to experience living history while  gaining a greater understanding of and appreciation for the enduring contributions of the  CCC to the Letchworth Park we know today.”The celebration is free with park admission and open to the public.Events begin with a 10 a.m. flag raising in the Lower Falls area\, beside the CCC statue\,  by an honor guard from the Niagara Falls Air Base. This will be followed by a  remembrance ceremony and a guided tour of the Lower Falls CCC Camp 49.At 11 a.m.\, a program with presenters and exhibits will begin in the Humphrey Nature  Center. Tom Cook\, author of The CCC in Letchworth State Park\, will describe everyday  life and the challenges faced by the Civilian Conservation Corps in Letchworth 90 years  ago. Letchworth State Park Manager Doug Kelly will address the enduring value of the  CCC’s projects. DESCRIPTION:Thursdays on AugustDid you know? All kids 12 and under will receive free admission to the Museum on Thursdays in August – and in 2023 we have five days of kids free! We’ll be offering a wide array of activities in the Historic Village for kids to enjoy\, including visits with animals on the farm\, demonstrations from the Potter and Tin Smith\, and historic games on the Village Square. The John L. Wehle Gallery\, Nature Center Trails\, and Depot Restaurant will also be open during these days. On the way out\, stop at the Flint Hill Store to shop for traditional gifts\, historic toys\, fudge and goodies\, and items made directly from the Historic Village. It’s the perfect time to bring the whole family out to enjoy all that the Museum has to offer.

SUMMARY:35th Annual Avon Corn Fest
DESCRIPTION:The Festival\, held every year on the second Saturday in August\, draws thousands of people from our region to see friends\, browse arts and crafts\, listen to a wide range of music on three separate stages\, play games\, eat lots of festival food\, enjoy a locally brewed craft beer at our Beer Garden\, participate in our annual corn eating contest and enjoy the day. The Festival culminates in a large outdoor concert by the popular party band The SkyCoasters from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. Many food vendors continue to serve concert attendees throughout the evening.
